🧒 Our promise about children under 13
ClimaPal Jr. does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Kid profiles are created and managed entirely by a parent or guardian. The kid-facing view only shows the outfit checklist a parent set up — children are never asked to enter their name, email, location, or any other personal information.
What we collect
Everything in ClimaPal Jr. is provided by the parent or guardian who owns the account. We collect:
- •Account details — your name and email address, used to sign you in and reach you.
- •Kid profiles — a child’s first name, age, and an optional avatar or photo, all entered by you.
- •Location — the city you set, used only to fetch local weather for outfit suggestions.
- •Trips & packing lists — trip names, dates, destinations, and the packing items you create.
- •Checklist activity — which outfit and packing items have been checked off.
- •Payment info — if you subscribe to Plus, billing is handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
We do not sell your data, and we never use a child’s information for advertising.
We don't collect data from children
ClimaPal Jr. is designed so that children never provide personal information. Only a parent or guardian signs in, sets up kid profiles, and enters any details. When a child uses the kid view, they simply check off the outfit a parent already created — nothing they tap is collected as personal data about them.
If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information directly, email us at privacy@climapalai.com and we will delete it promptly.
Parents are in control
You own every piece of information in your account. From your account settings you can view, edit, or delete any kid profile, trip, or list at any time. When you remove something, it’s removed from our systems — there is no separate child-facing account, so a parent always has full control.
How we use and share data
We use your information only to make ClimaPal Jr. work for your family:
- •To generate weather-based outfit suggestions and packing lists.
- •To save your profiles, trips, and checklists so they’re there when you return (stored securely in Google Firebase).
- •To process Plus subscriptions through Stripe.
- •To fetch local conditions from our weather provider using only the city you set.
We don’t sell personal information, and we don’t show advertising to children.
How to request data deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data — your account record, every kid profile, outfit history, and trip data — at any time:
- •In the app, open Account settings and choose Delete account.
- •Or email privacy@climapalai.com and we’ll permanently delete your data for you.
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
